The distinctive flacon was born in 1996 during a dinner at the restaurant “le Chardonnay” in Reims: captivated by the curves of an old decanter, Philippe Baijot sketched the bottle that would embody the timeless elegance he sought for his wines. The audacious project long lacked a maker, until a Venetian glassmaker committed to it as an exclusive partner for ten years — the beginning of one of the most remarkable modern stories in Champagne.
